Suunto Firmware Beta 2.33.16

Suunto Firmware Beta for Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Suunto Vertical, and Suunto Race.

Firmware version: 2.33.16

Target of Beta: Verify that the sync problems disappear for users that have a problem with sync when using the firmware 2.33.16.

How to install:

If sync works at least somewhat or no problem with sync:

1. Using a phone that has Suunto App installed click the link below that corresponds to your watch:
   • Race
   • Vertical
   • S9PP global (Not China)
2. The Suunto App should open and after a few seconds show the name of the package that corresponds to the link you pressed and a blue text saying something like "Get update." Press the blue text.
3. The firmware will start to transfer, this will take time. You can continue to use the phone and watch normally during the transfer.
4. Once the firmware has transferred completely, you can see that the transfer has ended in the watch menu of the Suunto App. You will need to choose the new firmware in the watch.
5. In watch; go to ‘Settings → General’. Go down one step and select ‘Software update’. Choose start update. Note that the watch will have to have a charge level that is depending on the watch at this stage. Charge if necessary.
6. Wait for the firmware to install and the watch to restart.
7. Allow the watch to sync.

If sync crashes systematically:

There are two ways around this to allow the new firmware download:

1. Remove the log that is not syncing. This option means you lose that log.

Suunto will follow up statistics of performance of 2.33.16 to decide if this version will go out into automatic Over the air distribution.
